The Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service has announced it will be working in partnership with blood cancer charity DKMS.

We're marking World Blood Donor Day by thanking blood donors who have given more regularly post pandemic.

Every year, on 14 June, countries around the world celebrate World Blood Donor Day.

We are asking a limited number of blood donors to take part in an exciting new project on genetic blood group testing, a technique which allows scientists to extend the amount of blood groups they can identify.

Following a guidance update from the Scottish Government, from the 16th of May donors attending sessions will no longer be advised to wear a Fluid Resistant Surgical Mask (FRSM) or face covering.
