A day of smiles and tooth talk

Share

Dundee dental students know the value of giving - whether it's sharing smiles or helping someone in need.

This October, Dundee Dental Students Society traded their dental chairs and white coats for something with more impact – the chance to give blood.

Organised by Kirsty Rae, the event was a heartfelt tribute to her grandpa, Robert Rae, who has Myelodysplastic Syndrome and has received blood and platelets. Kirsty and 30 members of Dundee Dental Students Society reminded us of the importance of giving blood, turning their commitment into action. The day was filled with smiles and a sense of purpose as they came together at Dundee Donor Centre to make a difference. The energy was contagious as they celebrated not just the gift of blood, but the gift of kindness.

Kirsty said, 'We're thrilled that this was such a success, and we're already panning to make it an annual event. Together, we can create a ripple effect and encourage other societies and groups to get involved and give blood.'
