DKMS. Could you be a stem cell donor?
DKMS is an international charity dedicated to the fight against blood cancer and blood disorders. We are delighted to support our friends at DKMS in their mission.
JOIN THE REGISTER FOR JOSIE
Josie, who lives with her family in Alness, Ross & Cromarty, has a serious and rare genetic disorder.
Her best chance of survival is to have a blood stem cell donation from a stranger. Her family believes that someone, somewhere, is a perfect genetic match who could give Josie a second chance at life.
Could it be you?
DKMS are the biggest stem cell register in the UK. They have registered over 900,000 blood stem cell donors to date and helped to give over 1,700 people a second chance at life.
Over 2,000 people each year in the UK are in need of a blood stem cell transplant, however, just 3% of the UK’s population are registered as potential donors. The more people who register as blood stem cell donors, the better the chance for someone in need of a blood stem cell transplant.
