Give once more in '24

Share

Did you know, more than 50% of Scotland's donors give blood once a year?

This is an incredible contribution for which we are grateful, as less than 3% of the eligible population currently donate.

However, if every donor could give blood two or more times per year, it would make a huge difference to patients in Scotland. Just one extra donation from each of our annual donors could help prevent Scotland's blood stocks reaching lower levels.

Many donors will be able to give blood once more between now and Christmas

Every day, patients undergo surgeries, cancer treatments, and emergency medical care. Every single one of them relies on blood donors just like you to help them recover and thrive.

This year, the demand for blood has remained consistently high, particularly for O and A blood groups. This means patients in Scotland need a lot of it. By giving once more in '24, you can make a huge difference. And as you can donate every 12 weeks, there’s a good chance you can give again before Hogmanay.

We'd love to see you again this year. Please do help spread the word by encouraging friends or family to come along – and tag us in your social media. Every donation counts.
