Positive change, mission successful.

Staff from the Change Centre Dundee - Street Soccer Scotland arrived at Dundee Donor Centre with a mission.

Who knew that a simple act of giving blood could strengthen a partnership? David said, 'I was thinking, where better than my old work over at blood transfusion to bring a community together?' David knows only too well the importance of blood donation, as he regularly distributed blood to patients within Ninewells hospital. 

David encouraged the first three staff members from the Change Centre to come along with him and give their very first donation.

Kyle Fraser said, 'It's safe to say, prior to attending there were some anxieties around giving blood, the fear of the unknown. Although, on arrival the team were fantastic, providing reassurance throughout, creating a relaxed and supportive atmosphere. I was feeling very anxious on the lead up, as this was the first time I had donated blood. However, once I arrived, I was made to feel comfortable. I was very surprised with how smooth the process was. I'll be back - hopefully with a minibus full of first-time donors!'
