Scam emails and text messages
We have become aware of scam text messages or emails that look as if they are from an NHS account.
These messages may ask for personal details, such as bank details and a small amount of money to be paid.
SNBTS will never ask you for any payment or bank account details. No bank or legitimate organisation will ask you to transfer your money to a safe account - ever. Please do not click on links if you are unsure. The link may look very plausible.
If you receive a text, email or phone call that seems suspicious:
- Do not click on any links
- Do not provide any details or payment
- Hang up the phone
You can report scams to the National Cyber Security Centre at www.ncsc.gov.uk and further information is available at www.ofcom.org.uk
The video below has more information, so please watch carefully.
If you have queries please contact us online, or email us on nss.snbtsenquiry@nhs.scot
Thank you.
